Obituary of Lois Weatherlow Neely

Penfield-Predeceased by son, Charles Neely,and his wife, Linda Lake, son, David Neely; Lois'sister, Elinor Waddell and her husband, Marvin Waddell; and her brother-in-law, Donald Neely.  She is survived by her high school sweetheart and devoted, loving husband of over 70 years, Bruce Neely; granddaughter, Grace Neely and Graces' step father, Kevin Matkoski; daughter-in-law, Julie Neely; special nephew, Donald Waddell; nieces and nephews; special friends, James and Judy McNeil and many dear friends. 

Mrs. Neely was a life long member of First Baptist Church of Penfield.  She was an office manager for SPC Machinery Co., volunteered for 20 years for Meals on Wheels and assisted in their office for 13 years.  She was also a school teacher's volunteer aide and library assistant at her sons' schools, a Red Cross Blood Drive chairman, and dessert coordinator for the Rotary Club dinners. 

Her interests included knitting, reading novels, playing cards, picture puzzles, and extensive traveling.  She also enjoyed 1940's big band music and especially loved friend and family gatherings. 

Lois' family wishes to thank the staff at The Friendly Home (Porter Place) for their many years of outstanding compassion and care that was shown to Lois. 

Per Lois' wishes there will be no calling hours or services.  A private family burial will be held at a later date.  Lois will forever be remembered for her welcoming smile, her "funny little laugh", and for being such a caring and loving friend to others.
